The Pro 500 CFM unit (model AM190004) draws a maximum of 1.5 amps and runs at 200 W. The Hulk (model AF1000-A) draws 3.0 amps at 750 W with two fan speeds. Both use a 400 × 400 × 20 mm pre-filter that can be changed in under a minute.
Where an air scrubber is required
- Mould remediation. Spores released during removal must be captured. An H13 HEPA filter traps them so they are not spread through the building or the technician's airway.

How many air changes do you need?
Divide the room volume in cubic feet by the scrubber's CFM to get the minutes per air change. A 5 m × 4 m × 2.7 m room is about 1900 cubic feet, so a 500 CFM unit changes the air roughly every four minutes, or about 15 times an hour. Mould remediation guidelines commonly call for four to six air changes per hour, so one Pro unit comfortably covers a domestic room, while the Hulk suits open-plan areas or containment zones with a long duct run.
Filters and maintenance
Check the pre-filter on every job and replace it when it is visibly loaded. The HEPA filter lasts much longer but must be replaced if it gets wet, is damaged, or when airflow drops noticeably.
